The Labyrinths of New Harmony
New Harmony is home to two distinctive labyrinths, each offering a space for reflection, history, and quiet exploration. Rooted in the town’s utopian past, the Harmonist Labyrinth was created by the Rappites, a 19th-century German religious community, as a place for meditation and spiritual focus. The Cathedral Labyrinth, inspired by the famous Chartres Labyrinth in France, provides a larger and more intricate walking experience.
Both labyrinths feature a single, winding path leading to the center, inviting visitors to slow down and walk with intention.
